Writer’s Block Scenario

Thanks for the all out requests for Markie Stories! I have not had as much Writer’s Block , but as much as life has been busy. Mark and I have been out rocking the community to find out where he can be the most independent as possible. He signed up for hip hop dance lessons, passed out 15 job applications Mark is sure he going to get 15 jobs, and let’s hope he does! It took me hours to program his phone so that he could call for assistance wherever he ends up in town locally, or in any other foreign country. Don’t laugh, Mark once hit enough random numbers on our phone to get an operator in the COUNTRY of Greece! Never fear, every day of raising Mark is burned into my heart. I will write it all down as long as someone is reading. Needless to say, the last few weeks have generated even more Markie Stories. This next one is for Karen and Griselda. Thanks folks! Carmella

About Carmella Miller

I live in Nevada City, CA with my husband Steve. I am a retired 7th and 8th grade English, Art and Drama teacher. I thought it would be fun to share the"Markie Stories" featuring our son Mark Miller, age 24. When a parent hears they have a special needs child, grieving and isolation often follow. Maybe because we finally "got" Mark raised up, that, now we see how funny it was at times. And we definitely know how how proud we are of him and ourselves.
